Shop staff usually idle

Yes, shop owners should assign additional tasks to staff during idle times. This improves productivity and keeps employees engaged. Tasks like cleaning, organizing inventory, updating records, or learning new skills can help the business in the long run. Instead of wasting time, staff can contribute to overall improvement, creating a more efficient and motivated work environment. This also prepares the team for busier periods.
