When it comes to managing a business, running a team is very vital. My boss used to tell me that he doesn't run the team in the convenience of the team members but he wants to establish a system for the team members to operate in which would benefit the organisation.

I want to ask if the convenience of a staff team should be placed as a factor when making decisions.

There has to be a balance with accomodating the convenience of staff and instituting your company's policy. Giving the staff too much convenience would make you lose control while always pushing company policy against the wishes if staff could appear toxic.

In running a business where there is need for a team, the key word is balance. You don't have to bend to the team but at the same time you need to be considerate about things.

The challenge is that business managers always tilt to one extreme with managing the business. And most of the times, it is always about pursuing company policies. That's because they want their boss to be impressed. And in the end, they appear toxic and build a negative reputation for themselves amongst the staff.
