One of the things that plague businesses is that staff complain of bossy business owners, which invariably means that business owners have to be a little bit open with staff.

Is it possible for a business owner to build friendship with staff? How can a business owner build friendship with staff and it doesn't cross boundaries?

While it's good for a business owner to build some level of relationship with the staffs, I believe there should be a limit. This is to prevent the staffs being over familiar with the employer to the point where they begin to lack respect.

I think that a business owner that is smart should be able to know and establish limits in how friendly he relates with staff. It is all about finding the proper balance that would make staff free to relate with him and being able to have a control that would make them respect him still.

Although there is nothing wrong with business owners establishing friendships with staff and making work more active and of better quality, when a business owner discovers irregularities in a friend's performance it will be too difficult to express, if we say it then it is often taken as personal. That's how many businesses are destroyed because of friendship.

There is an advantage when a business owner has a close relationship with the staff. The challenge is always knowing when to set boundaries. You don't play with staff anyhow. You won't be able to command respect that way.

The business owner must be very careful while talking friendly to his staff members. Sometimes it has been seen that some staff members take advantages of business owners friendship with them. On the other hand if the business owner keep himself away from his stuff members, usually employees thinks that he is very proud man and this also gives very negative impact on over all business.

A business person should be able to strike a balance between being friendly to staff and being all bossy. I think that is one aspect of man management that most entrepreneurs don't have.

Yes, there nerd to be a limit even in some good things . So yes be friendly to your staff but have a limit to it.

It's not a crime making friendship with staff, however, there must be limitations. He must remain the boss but kind and friendly boss.
That's the best bet , be a kind and friendly boss but avoid getting too close. You need to set your boundaries to get it right.

I like a friendly boss and there's always distance for a delicadeza, and the more if the boss is male.

That's right when you have a friendly boss approaching and communicating with them would be very easy.
There's no fear. There's joy in working. The work place will be harmonious and all are happily working.

That's true but I still believe there should be a limi to this, so this would not create a situation where the staff would no longer take the boss seriously.
