A business mentor is one person who that has succeeded in business that guides a younger business person to success. Is it every business challenge that a young business person faces that he or she would report to their business mentors? If not all, what kinds of business problems should a business person report to the mentor?

If a business person doesn't learn to solve minor business problems without the mentor, it would not help the business person grow.
Yes some growth needs personal growth and this comes through personal doings it is good to solve some problem yourself

So long as the mentor had taught you everything about the business, you should carry on the business on your own.
Mentors don't teach everything. They help you to lay the foundations of your business. You get back to them when you are in a fix.
