Most companies have multiple lines of business. Consequently, another company that is a competitor in one area is quite possible NOT a competitor in another. In your non-competing areas, it may make good sense to do some business together. Your choice is this: Since the pseudo-competitor will be doing business with someone, and that someone will be making some profit, do you want to make that profit or just allow someone else to pocket the money?
