For some married couples, the wife submits her income to the husband who uses it to make plans for the family.

Do you believe that it is proper for a wife to submit all her income to the husband? I don't support it though but what are the opinions of users here on this?

I think...the partner who owns the right ability to manage the household finances (not lavishing money at all, not losing money into risky investments he/she doesn't understand well, or even worse, into gambling) should (or in any way, it's advisable to) make plans for the family with the incomes (remembering, in any way, none of them should stay completely broken: in the case of a separation or divorce, the weakest in the couple shouldn't be forced to stay into an abusive marriage because he/she is broken and has nowhere else to go). If both of them fairly own the same ability, they should make plans together. Or each of them to choose how to invest one's own income. Remembering both of them should support their children, if they have, each of them proportionally to each income.

The custom in my country is different, if both husband and wife work, then the husband will submit his income to the wife. The wife will manage all their income for daily needs, children's education, savings, etc. If the husband has a side hustle, it is usually for transportation costs or buying gasoline, investing, etc.

In my country, the two people sit down together to work out their budget and manage their finances. All of them submit their finances to each other.

While there is a good money keeper there is also a wasteful wife you have to note, so choose the person the one who can manage your money well. Some wives are extravagant buying insignificant items that may lead to a broken marriage.

They can choose to discuss about it, and maybe even plan on what to do with it, but I don't see any sense in the wife submitting it to her husband. Then again it all depends on the partners.

Husband or wife both should share financial burden and keep some money for themselves. Couples don't die together so they should have some money for crisis.

My husband receives a governmental allowance since COVID's times. As he knows I own investing abilities, having studied financial subjects to get my first degree, he lets me use the 80%. He manages the rest and his online earnings to purchase his gluten food, butter and red meat (I suffer from various allergies as especially gluten, various dairy products, legumes and red meat, so we need to eat separate food for breakfast and dinner: he needs to purchase his bread, his butter and red meat on his own). Or a tool to cut his own hair.

Some husbands are extravagant too :ROFLMAO: . For ex, such a mishap happened to a close friend of mine: she finally got forced to go out with broken shoes because she couldn't purchase a new pair: all caused by the lavishness of her companion. Despite he wasn't a professional photographer at all, he insisted to purchase a camera that cost about ten thousand euros. But they weren't in a financial condition to support such an expenseo_O.

The wife acted like idiot. She should return her husband to his parents 🤣. He's insanely irresponsible and senseless. Her husband must live without means because he is incapable to provide good finances to his family. The wife should have bought a cheap shoes rather than wear a broken shoes. She acted like dumb. 😁

Husband and wife should help and support each other, and you have a harmonious and happy family, your husband trusts you to manage his money as an investment and of course, you also manage the household finances.

This is the best because women for me can manage finance better unlike the men that sometimes squander their money on frivolities abd on women

That's absolutely true, in fact, there are many housewives who can save money on daily shopping and even save so that in an emergency, when the husband has no money, the mother/wife will play the role of a hero.

That's right I have even seen this my household from my mum. She does better with finances in the house than my father. so she keeps the household purse

It often depends on the social environment/background where the partners come from. Usually, who owns at least a degree and comes from a family of great savers, is unlikely to lavish money and knows how to spend and to invest (at least, in my former country it's how it works).

This is not entirely true. These Gen Z wives that love flashy things like clothes and makeup can't really do much with savings.
