When it comes to businesses, decisions are the building blocks that determines how far a business would go. Some people say that a business owner doesn't need to be democratic all the times when it comes to business leadership?

Do you believe businesses should be led democratically?

There are various styles of leadership in managing a team or employees to achieve business goals, which include values, behaviors, methods etc. These leadership styles are like: democratic, liberal, autocratic, visionary, supportive etc. Each leadership style has its pros and cons but personally I prefer democratic.

I would not run my business democratically with any staff. I would be diplomatically autocratic in my business leadership.
In other words the leadership in the business has to be flexible to fit the situation of things at that point in time right?

That's it boss. You should know situations that you should approach diplomatically in your business and the ones that you might need to use force.

My boss doesn't lead our organisation for everyone to have a say. Some select staff are asked about their opinions but that doesn't mean their opinions would always be taken.

Sometimes, democratic leadership gives worst performance. In leadership of a company or a business, decisions should be taken based on informed decisions. Decision should not be taken because of popularity of the opnion but based on what will bring profit to the company
