According to an article I once read, someone who is about to get married should discuss their financial condition with their future partner. Before marriage is the right time to discuss finances early on, especially to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts later on. Each partner should also be open about all their income and expenses, bad habits such as hanging out at cafes etc., what do you think?

One of the vital things that I discuss during the talking stage of any relationship I intend starting is financial conditions and financial plans.
