Should I jump on an airdrop or pre sale simply because a reputable exchange promoted it?

One of the things that I hear too often is when people pushing another to join a pre sale or airdrop tell you that a reputable exchange like Binance is promoting the airdrop. For some, that is enough reason to join the airdrop as it were. Can I join an airdrop or pre sale because a popular exchange is promoting the airdrop?

If an exchange is supporting the airdrop, it simply means there is some level of recognition and value in the airdrop. A lot of airdrop is scam and a whole waste of users time and energy. If an exchange endorse airdrop, it will usually turn out well.

Basically, airdrops are not listed on crypto exchanges so 80% is speculation and 20% is your belief, many airdrops have been promoted by well-known exchanges, Binance, Bitget, Coinmarketcap etc. for example TapSwap, but have not been listed, so before buying tokens on the presale, it is better to study them in depth first.

If an exchange promotes it, it is one more reason to trust, but it is not something definitive or that will make you money no matter what.

The most important thing is to understand the risk involved and invest something small, there is no guarantee it would work out even a well known exchange platform promoted it.
