Should mothers stay at home and look after children, or should they work like their husbands?

I believe in certain situations, the mother should be at home tending the house and kids. But I believe as with everything, there would be plenty of cases that the mother can and should be able to have a job, whether it be as a nurse or teacher, or perhaps helping with a family owned business.

I've seen plenty of family situations, where the mother working outside of house and family duties, actually was a beneficial item. Having that extra income, whether it be part time or full time, does help make sure that those who do have kids, have a better opportunity to be raised by those who love them enough to show how to live as functional adults.

I believe that women should be given opportunity to work. Presently, due to economy and advancement in society, it is difficult for one person to foot bills. Secondly, working give women opportunity to explore and be creative. Thirdly, women are becoming independent and becoming more business oriented.

Everyone has different attitudes and characteristics, the best step is to leave the decision entirely to the mother, whether she wants to work or stay at home managing housework and children, but I see many young mothers making food to increase their income. If the husband's income is high, perhaps the mother does not need to work outside the home.

For me, if it is not necessary for a mother to work, then that's ok because she can take good care of their children and be hands-on with them, but if a family is struggling financially, I think a mother can go to work too. However, if a mother is really eager to work, even if they are financially stable, why not? . Still, the mother has the last say about whether she wants to work or not.

If the salary of the husband is not enough for the family the wife needs to work too to survive and could have a saving for emergency needs . They could hire a house help or a relative to take good care of their kid or kids while they are at work.

I think as long as they are humans, they should also be given equal rights to work if they want to. So it is usually a matter of choice or from both parties and if the mother can manage her time properly.

The issue mom has kids and who will take care of them when they both work? It will happen if the income of the husband isn't sufficient for their daily needs, so the wife qualified to work opt to hire a house helper to take care of the kids.

No every mother have the right to work and paid equally, i don't think that mothers have to stay at home and be a house mom, unless they want to stay in the house they have every right to work like their husband and provide for her family.

It's nearly 2024 and men are still wanting to dictate what women can do with their lives?
I'm not expecting to dictate anything. Why do you believe a question that is meant to stimulate discussion, is meant to tell women they cannot do something? It's the same with women who expect men to do certain things, even when those men don't want to. Feel free to explain your reasoning. :)

The most important thing is that men do not impose their will, let the mother choose what she likes, work or at home. A wise man will always allow mother to do her best.

There are husbands who also encourage their wives to work so that they won't get bored. But those wives who have skills online can opt to work online. They can watch their babies and earn too.

In the old days, the wife was only at home to take care of the children and was busy with household chores. But in modern times, we can notice that there are more mothers who work for the family. Maybe because of the hardships of life, yes, the mother prefers to keep up with her to increase income for the family's needs. But for those who have the means in life, they may have worked because they wanted to exercise what they had learned in their studies. From my own point of view, there is nothing wrong if the mother works, as long as she does not neglect the welfare of the children. In the end, the mother will be the one to follow, whether she works or not.

You are so right, most wives now are working in an office to augment the needs of the family but with the consent of the husbands. Life is hard. The cost of commodities is soaring nonstop. The needs of the baby are very important too. Teamwork is what the husband and wife are doing this time. In the past, only the husband worked and the wife tended their children.

Each person will have a different character and habits, so there may be housewives who prefer to stay at home taking care of children and household work, but there are also women who want to develop their careers so they have a high position in a company. So it would be good if we could give mothers the freedom to choose which one is best.

Agree, those who prefer to work have skills and qualifications good to use for the benefit of the family and those not could also work online and take care of the babies. There are mothers who are great doctors of medicine, nurses, teachers, bankers, and lawyers who would always want to serve people, and their kids will be under the care usually of their parents or a close relative.

But in my opinion, mothers who have high skills will certainly choose a career, their education at university will be wasted. Currently there are many women who hold the positions of president, minister, astronaut, etc.

Exactly that is why, they never allow themselves to stay stagnant at home. they will feel sick and dormant That is what my sister is doing, she is a baker and continues working as a bank teller after her baby was born. She hires our elder sister who is still single.
