Somalia: Attack on Mogadishu Beach Kills At Least 32

According to the report, a suicide bomber and gunmen from the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab group attacked a crowded beach in Somalia’s Mogadishu on Friday.

The report said that at least 32 people were killed and over 63 sustained injuries, marking one of the deadliest incidents in the country in recent months.

The report added that The attackers detonated explosive devices and opened fire at civilians. The group claimed responsibility for the attack on a pro-Shabaab website. On Saturday, Somali security forces destroyed a suspected vehicle linked to the attack.

Those fatalities and the 63 seriously wounded enjoyed themselves on the beach only to know it was the end of their happiness. I condemned that act.
