Some apps not available on Google play

I sometimes receive a request to install an app on my smartphone, but the app is not available on google play. I have to download the apk file from the business website. What is the reason why the app or file is not available with Google play?

It could just be that the apply does not meet the standard or rules set by the platform or the owner don't want it being placed there

There are various reasons for this, it's either the app does not meet the standard as @Augusta has said or the app is not compatible with your phone or not accessable to your current location.

Yeah right that's correct. you might not have the right to even download and install the app too
