I know so many businesses that have cheated me and sold to me at a higher price than they normally sell simply because I don't know the price. That's why as a customer, you should have perfect knowledge of prevalent market price before you start shopping.

Should businesses take advantage of customers that don't know the price to sell higher to them?

It is unethical to cheat customers because they don't know the real. They would certainly find out one day that you cheated them and would never patronize the business again.

Before buying anything, it's best you find out the price from various places, this way you can determine a particular price to go with.

I think it is the duty of the person to avoid that. You should try to negotiate and walk with other shop owners to know the actual price
