Faith Nongcebo Ntombela, a 44-year-old South African woman, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of her husband, Captain Zwelakhe Ntombela.

She was sentenced on Friday, November 29, 2024, by Durban High Court, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation


Zwelakhe Ntombela, an officer, who was stationed at Durban Metro Police, was shot and killed on May 3, 2023, while arriving home in Umlazi,m

A case of murder was reported to the Umlazi police station and the case docket was allocated to Hawks members from Durban Serious Organised Crime Investigation for intensive investigation.

The rate at which married couples are killing themselves is really becoming alarming, what example are they setting for those that are not married yet.
 
This seems like a well planned murder as the investigation indicates. She stole the service and personal firearms before the incident. Also showing a smarter side where she made sure that he could not kill her or hurt her in self defence. This was not an impulsive crime. There must be something going really wrong between the two for some time for her to plan it well and execute it.
Sad to see that such cases of couples killing each other is on rise. These are deep concerns for any society.
 
No matter how strong the reason for killing might be, it is not justified. Only in one circumstances killing can be justified, either it's out of duty( war) or is in self defence. Unfortunately, the killers are in such state of mind that they are not able to rationalize their motive. If they could rationalize, such crimes won't happen.
 
We can't judge the cause of the woman's killing of her husband. Let's not forget that jealousy kills if it's the reason. It's only a very few individuals who can withdraw her or his rage. Only those who have a strong relationship with our Father Almighty. Their rage overrule and the mind cannot find ways to exit the surge, only prayers.

But what was the motive of the killing? It was not elaborated on in the news. I hope that the criminal was already detained and remorseful of her action.

it must have still be the case of infidelity. The truth is that a lot of people can not stand their cheating partner so they rather kill them

That is the usual picture when cheating is done to a partner. They better file a divorce to set themselves free rather than resolve the issue of killing. What a waste d a precious life.
 
It is better to evaluate the feelings if there is love for both parties to avoid killing a partner. There must also be solid proof of infinity and not to resort to murder. It's a huge mistake that cannot be corrected but punished.
