South Korea bans the sale and consumption of dog meat.

The South Korean parliament has passed a law which bans the sales and consumption of dog meat. It is known that South Korea has a vibrant industry that raises dogs for consumption. That has been banned now and the entire industry is supposed to phase out those meat dogs in a few days.

Wasn't aware the consumption of dog meat was pretty common over there, i thought it was mostly pork meat.

I actually thought that it is only my country that loves dog meat. Not knowing South Korea has a whole dog meat industry.
