Southern Ecuador floods cause buildings to be damaged and a bridge to fall

Heavy rains in southern Ecuador have caused flooding, which led to a cleanup operation that started on Tuesday. The rains made the Zamora and Malacatos rivers overflow, which resulted in the collapse of a bridge and damage to several buildings. Loja, a city with a population of 215,000, was particularly affected by the flooding.
