Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has ruled out the possibility of any political figure, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, defeating Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, August, 13, Bwala dismissed recent calls for Jonathan to contest, describing them as a ploy to damage the former president’s post-office reputation.
“I see that some unscrupulous elements are trying to hoodwink former President Goodluck Jonathan to come into politics so they can destroy his reputation, which, after he left government, he has been building by becoming an international figure globally,” Bwala said.

He argued that the political landscape in southern Nigeria — Jonathan’s home region — has largely aligned with Tinubu, pointing to the support of several governors. He also questioned the sincerity of northern politicians urging Jonathan to run, noting that some of them opposed him when he was
in power.

I totally agreed with him not that he is performing but he is a master strategist and crafty politician. He knows the game and will definitely trick them again. He will win or rigged the election again.
Admittedly I know not much about Nigerian politics; what I do know about politics in general,Magnus, is this: you never boast about a future election's result this far out. Just as there are no guarantees in life, in most countries there are never any political guarantees - I mean, look at the U.S. for example.

This time two years people were all-but feting Hillary Clinton as the next president once Barack Obama's second term ended....apparently, someone forgot to tell the guy who actually won in 2016; you might've heard of the guy. His name's Donald Trump.

To be honest i wasn't even expecting anyone to try and win him, that man will do anything possible to hold unto that position unfortunately.

Nigeria politics is not like American politics. Nigeria politics is filled with criminals who can manipulate results. Secondly, there is high level of tribalism in Nigeria political system.

Nigeria politics is not like American politics
I never said it was, Magnus, but some things in political are universe regardless of country....

You've never followed American politics; we have criminals throughout the system, from dog catcher up the ladder into Congress. "Legal criminals" we generally call them.

United States politics is 100 better than Nigeria politics. The level of decay and corruption in Nigeria politics is beyond description.
