If you are wise, you will never allow yourself to spend your hard earned money in the wrong direction. As much as possible, forget you have money in the bank to refrain you from spending non- essential things, especially gambling, bonding with friends or outing with someone special. Engaging with something appealing despite not needed might be crucial to your savings. Also, learn to live beyond your means should you like to become somebody someday. Though it's your personal life but sometimes you need other minds to distruct your thoughts to stop you spending for wants not needed.

This is were self control and self discipline comes into play, one should be able to control themselves so they don't spend wrongly.
Correct, but there are times that I am tempted to spend without thinking especially during payday at work ☺️. But most of the time, I save.

It is the FEAR of Missing Out that is sponsored by social media that makes people to spend their money anyhow sometimes.

It is nice to spend on something our eyes like. However, when money is no more, that's the time to feel sorry for the self. It is good to be smart in spending.

As far as I know, I have spent my money wisely and avoided temptations such as gambling, drinking. But the word wise will have different meanings for each person, or each person has standards, which are influenced by several factors such as experience, environment.

The most important thing to grow your wealth is to overcome the temptation of buying things. Once you overcome it, you can start saving and investing.
