World is full of scammers and fraudsters, be it online or offline. If one does not stay safe and take all precautions, they can fall in trap very easily. A 38 years old Commerce graduate posed as a RAW officer duped 30 youths of 60 lakhs Indian Rupees promising them a spy Job.
RAW stands for Research and Analysis Wing , it's an Indian equivalent of FBI in the US. He is in custody along with his aide who was his partner in crime. He created a fake RAW portal, issued appointment letters to the aspirants and asked them to mark their attendance. He took money in exchange of giving them an esteemed job in the reputed organization. For few months, he even created a fake physical office and asked them to work there, paying them some salary too. And after few months they fled away taking all the money. Police has caught them and now they are in custody.
