Some articles on SSD drives indicate the SSD drive will lose data if not connected to a power source for some time due to their design. Has anyone lost data on their SSD drive?
I own 2 netbooks carrying SSD (at the place of HDs) and none of them suffered data losses. Considering I own the first one since 4 years and the other since 3.
Can you share the brand of the netbooks you use and SSD capacity. I had purchased a new desktop a year ago, and it has partial SSD failure according to the repair person.
Both are VAIO netbooks. The first, running Windows10 (upgraded for free to Windows11), has a SSD of 250 GIGAs. The other, running Linux Debian, has a SSD of 125 GIGAs. None of them presented SSD issues.
