Oh fam! There's a new study from the US that says that by 2060, a whopping 1.6 million Americans will be suffering from glaucoma. This is especially dangerous because it builds up silently as pressure builds in the eyes, eating away at the nerves that carry images to the brain. If you don't get it, you'll find yourself completely blind, and worse, if you go dark, there's no turning back.
Many people don't know they have this condition until they start seeing blurry vision. It's most common in people in their 50s and up, but if you're black, over 40, have diabetes, or have a family history of the condition, you're at risk. There's no cure, but if you get it checked out early, you can save your eyesight.
