The announcement, made on April 1st, initially sparked widespread arguments, with many assuming it was a marketing prank tied to April Fools’ Day. However, Sterling bank has confirmed that this is no stunt: the zero-transfer-fee policy is real, and effective immediately.

I don't know why they want the fees cancelled. Have they been satisfied with the money made from fund transfers.

I saw this and i was pretty impressive, i hope other banks would follow this step, sterling bank has given them a big challenge.

That's a welcome development! I think this is a marketing strategy and it will be very effective. I will likely open Sterling bank account once i have the time and opportunity. All the banks in Nigeria should emulate from Sterling bank.
