A milenio report indicates that things got messy in Veracruz after Mexican military officers, along with national and state police, raided a truck yard. They set up camp on the La Tinaja-Acayucan highway and seized about ten trucks carrying stolen fuel. The trucks had been abandoned and were reportedly filled with fake fuel. The entire area was then cordoned off and an investigation was launched to determine the source of the fuel.
Now in Guerrero, there was also a major operation. Police caught four men transporting more than forty thousand liters of gasoline on the Acapulco-Zihuatanejo highway. They had two large trucks and other vehicles with plastic containers. All were arrested and taken to the Acapulco prosecutor's office for further investigation.
