PAGASA has issued a warning about Typhoon Leon, also known as Kongrey. In the next forty-eight hours, storm surge is expected to hit Batanes and Cagayan, which can cause moderate to substantial damages on low-lying coastal areas. The storm surge is calculated to be between 2.1 and 3 meters high. Meteorologists warn that such storm surges may inflict damages. Residents in these places are encouraged to evacuate and stay cautious during this period, according to the state weather bureau, PAGASA.

I saw the news in TV about storm Leon. We're thankful here, there is no storm. It is extremely hot in Mindanao. I like normal rain not a ferocious storm. I hope the people in the affected areas must evacuate ASAP to avoid devastations of lives.
