According to the report, the Crimean Bridge is operating in a limited mode after three successful SBU operations. The head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, called these strikes the "calling card" of the special service and emphasized that the facility has ceased to perform a military role for the Russian Federation, the SBU press service reports. In an interview with the TV channel "We are Ukraine" on the air of the marathon "Unified News", the head of the SBU, Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk, noted that the Security Service of Ukraine has carried out hundreds of operations, each of which deserves attention, but the attacks on the Crimean Bridge have become a symbol of the work of the department.
The report also stated that the three operations to destroy the bridge were carried out in different ways: - the first blow was delivered from land; - the second in terms of the water surface; - in 2025, an underwater approach was used. Malyuk specified that during the underwater operation, two powerful strikes were made on the bridge, each equivalent to 1.1 tons of TNT. The last attack damaged the supporting structures, which made the facility unsafe. Currently, the bridge is only used by heavy trucks, and military logistics are completely excluded. "Serious damage was caused to the corresponding supports, the so-called 'bulls'. The bridge is currently operating in a limited mode: trucks weighing no more than 5 tons are moving along it. The enemy is not moving military logistics there," noted Vasily Malyuk. The SBU continues to carry out the tasks of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Volodymyr Zelensky to oust the Russian army from the Black Sea, actively developing the direction of sea drones. "This is no longer just a kamikaze mode - these are multi-purpose platforms. These are "aircraft carriers": they carry FPV, machine gun armament. They fully engage in combat with enemy aircraft, lay mines, and can do much more," noted Malyuk. Answering a question about his safety, the head of the SBU admitted that after the attacks on the Crimean Bridge and Operation Spider Web, he became one of the main targets for Russian special services. "They are working on this all the time. This is their priority. We understand this... They cannot reach me by sabotage, so now they are using missiles and Shaheds. However, I am not worried about this at all; it only motivates me. Here I am in front of you - alive, healthy, smiling, everything is fine," Malyuk concluded.
