Sun-drying a phone that fell into water-Would it help to prevent damage?

When phones fall in water, they always say that it should be put in a bag that contains grains for the water to be absorbed out. But what about just Sun-drying the phone? Would it help the phone not to get damaged as a result of being fell into water?

I think the phone will not function normally. A phone has sensitive parts and most likely it will never operate again. It's best to consult it to tech near you.

I have actually seen someone whose phone fell inside water and she sun dried it. Luckily, the phone worked again after about 5 hours of sun drying.

This usually works in some cases, especially if you do not on it at all after drying it properly. Then in other cases the phone does not work.

I know for sure of the rice approach to drying smartphones that fall into water. I don't know much about sun drying.

For l had the same problem like three to four months ago. I immediately removed out the battery and sun dried the phone to almost 24 hrs. After all l did it failed to function till now.
