Super Falcons goalkeeper Yewande Balogun has quit professional football.

The goalkeeper was part of the Super Falcons squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. she made one appearance for the nine-time African champions.

She took to her Instagram page on Tuesday to announce her retirement from the round leather game

I don't really know her that much since I don't follow the various activities in the sports world, but am pretty sure this would be bad news for her fan, then again she must definitely have a reason.

I think she is the second best keeper. The first keeper is too good and have outstanding success in keeping the ball. It seems she is not likely to continue because the first keeper is superb and will not give her chance to man the post. Well, i wish her better place after this retirement.
