A few days ago, Swedish Parliament Member Rickard Nordin made a proposal for Bitcoin Reserves to Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson. In the proposal, Nordin explained that Bitcoin has been widely adopted and is an important instrument as a hedge against inflation, in addition Bitcoin can also be used as an alternative means of payment, especially for countries with economic instability. According to Nordin, Bitcoin also has an ideological dimension, especially for individuals living in authoritarian governments.
The proposal made by Nordin, is inseparable from global trends such as America, China, etc., having Bitcoin without having to spend money from the State Budget, but Bitcoin Reserves are made from Bitcoins confiscated from crimes, so Bitcoin is no longer sold by authorities but should be stored.
Positive Impact
The positive impact should be imitated by other countries quickly so that they can overcome domestic economic turmoil. Currently, the governments/countries that are quick to respond are the Czech Republic and Hong Kong.
