Taiwan obtained its first Abrams tanks from the United States

Taipei's defense secretary said they had obtained the first batch of Abrams tanks from the US. This contains 38 advanced M1A2 Abrams battle tanks. They did this to increase their military power in the face of potential attacks from China. Washington has long been Taiwan's most important ally and key arms supplier—a scenario that has enraged Beijing, which regards Taiwan as part of its territory.

The tanks, bought in 2019, arrived Sunday night and were taken to an army training station south of Taiwan's capital, Taipei. The M1A2 tanks are an important component of the United States military, which is widely regarded as one of the most fearsome armies in the world. An army official stated that the remaining M1A2 tank orders will be delivered between 2025 and 2026.

Taiwan and Philippines should take more diplomatic steps to contain the problem in that region. That's should be to their best interest. China is powerful enough to annex the two countries within shortness time possible. United States will not fight China because of these two countries because they know the likely consequences! Remember, the highest buyers of Chinese goods is United States!
