It's truly heartbreaking to read something like this, because it shows how extremist laws can cost innocent lives. A natural disaster is terrible in itself, but with these restrictions, it becomes an even greater tragedy for women. I find it hard to understand how such inhumane rules continue to be applied in the 21st century. I think the international community should apply more pressure to ensure that these situations don't become normalized.
