Tell me and I will tell you. This was what I uttered to my friend who was too shy to express what she wanted at that time. She blocked my way. I was about to leave for home when this long time no see friend appeared at my work place. It was so annoying. I was so tired and wanted to relax on my bed.

Since she did not talk just looking down so I excused myself but she hold my hand and said she wanted to borrow money from me at least $ 500. I was so shocked. But I said, what is your collateral? She reacted harshly and said what's the purpose of friendship when a collateral is required. So I asked where she worked and what to do with the money, she said she's going to invest in a black market. I know what is black market so I refused. Money does not grow on a tree. I work harder to evade future financial difficulties so borrowing money is not part of my vocabulary unless for my immediate family.

In contrast to me, when my business was selling well, many friends wanted to give me money or invest, but I refused on the grounds that I was not ready for business development.
In my case different because my business is milk tea. It does not require investors. Also, I dislike to have a partner of my business. I am good at this. I told someone who waned to partner with me to apply for his own franchising.

That's right, your business doesn't need capital and you don't need a partner, if someone is interested they just need to buy the franchise directly.

I already capitalised my business and the profit rolled. There is no need for a partner. If it is a big busines corporation, it's needed. How nice to have a big busines someday he he.

Such people are not friends to anyone. They make friends to exploit them financially. My neighbours are like that so I just avoid them.

Correct, they are abusive and impulsive. They want to get the things they want without refusal from the other party but do not even pay.

I was betrayed before by a friend, He borrowed $600 to be paid 5 months after his loan was approved. His loan was approved but he never showed up to pay me until today. It's been 4 years now. I promised not to be a victim in lies again.

Your concern about the lack of collateral and the proposed black market investment is completely justified. It's good that you stood your ground and refused to enable something that could potentially get your friend into deeper trouble. True friends should respect each other's boundaries and financial well-being.

Agree with you on that. I must not waste my money on someone not deserving. I learned from a friend the other day, that the friend who wanted to borrow $600 from me was wanted of swindling. I am so thankful, I was able to deny her request for I might be a victim again.

That's true. They sometimes try to give you such things that you don't need.

You are right, and we have to be cautious on this kind of people. No matter how we tell them not, they still insist and show us their long face and bad mouth us.
