For allegedly shooting an 11-year-old child who rang his doorbell and fled, a 42-year-old man has been charged with murder. According to authorities, Julian Guzman was shot on Saturday night in Houston, Texas, just before 23:00 local time (05:00 BST), while he had fun in the "ding dong ditch" prank game of ringing doorbells. Gonzalo Leon Jr., a man, was arrested on Tuesday and is now being held at Harris County Jail.

A 42-year-old man named Gonzalo Leon Jr. has been charged with murder after shooting an 11-year-old boy, Julian Guzman, who was playing a doorbell-and-run prank in Houston, Texas. The boy was wounded while running away after ringing the doorbell and died in the hospital. The defendant was arrested and is being held without bail while the case is investigated, and police say it does not appear to be a case of self-defense.

Kids have been doing little pranks like that forever, it’s supposed to be harmless fun. Hard to wrap my head around how someone could react with a gun in that situation. Feels like a sad mix of anger and poor judgment that ruined multiple lives in an instant
