The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), 19 Northern States and the Abuja chapter, has joined the global Christian community in mourning the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis.

In a statement issued by its chairman, Rev. John Hayab, the news of the Pope’s death was described as a moment of profound grief for Catholics and Christians around the world, especially the Roman Catholic community in Northern Nigeria and the country at large.

It is well, may his soul rest in peace, they not expecting this to happen on easter monday. Am sure if this happened before easter sunday, it would affect the whole celebration.
