In my city, fruits are mainly sold in supermarkets or wet markets. I haven't seen anyone selling fruits on the street.
In my country, women set up tables by the roadsides of street entrances to sell different kinds of fruits. They buy from the open market to sell.
Here in my country that business is however very lucrative.
Most places are allowed for the hawkers to do business in town.

Many are doing it here selling fruits using a cart. They position themselves in a crowded location so people can easily see them. The price is cheaper too.

A lot of people now know the health benefits of fruits. So they are really buying fruits. You can make good money off it.
The most good part about the business is that most customers know what you are selling. There are no extra costs for marketing as the people in town can just buy from you seamlessly.

The fruit selling business should be sited in very populated areas so to speak. Places with higher demand are the most ideally for that kind of business
You can target also where they are gyms as a lot of people that use the gyms like to take fruits afterwards so they would love to buy fruits
