The Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress has once again rejected N54,000 minimum wage has proposed by the Federal government.
During a meeting with Organized Labour in Abuja, the FG proposed N54,000 as the new minimum wage against its earlier N48,000 offer. Before now the NLC and TUC had earlier walked out on the Tripartite Committee on Minimum Wage following the proposed N48,000 as minimum wage by the government.
They had told the FG to dump the thought of even offering N100,000 as the new minimum wage. The labour are insisting on N615,000 as the new minimum wage.
