Dr. Robert Montgomery, the head of the NYU Langone Transplant Institute, stated that Lisa Pisano, the recipient of a genetically modified pig kidney, had the transplanted kidney removed 47 days after the initial treatment.

Lisa, who is ineligible for a human donor due to her chronic ailment, is in stable condition at the hospital and continues to receive dialysis treatments. Although the patient did not reject the kidney, problems with the heart pump took place, causing organ damage due to a lack of blood supply.

The first patient who received the same kind of procedure died almost two months after the kidney transplant. However, according to his doctors, there were "no signs" that he died because of it.

Yeah I think I reported the death here but the doctors were not certain that the pig kidney was the caused though
