We have to be very careful in dealing with our mouths; we might cross the line that may lead to trampling on one’s dignity. And if that happens, one will face charges.

The penalty for trampling one’s dignity varies widely depending on the jurisdiction, the specific actions involved, and the legal context. It can range from civil to criminal charges. The breakdown includes defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, or harassment.

The penalty for trampling on a person’s dignity can range from civil remedies, such as monetary damages and restraining orders, to criminal charges, such as hate speech, assault, and cyberbullying. The specific penalty depends on the nature of the conduct, the intent of the perpetrator, the harm caused to the victim, and the applicable laws in the relevant jurisdiction.

Indeed our mouths is a very powerful weapon, that can be used to bring down someone if we are not careful.
I agree 100%. It is better not to talk to avoid crossing a line that may damage someone's reputation. it happened here, and the accused is now in prison. he was also fined one million pesos. He accused his neighbor of being a prostitute because she always comes home in the morning. That neighbor was transient, and the man did not know that she was working in Del Monte Philippines as a Chemist and was assigned in night shift, so she came home early morning. The man slandered the chemist. He now faces his karma in prison for 8 years.
