Just a few hours after Super Typhoon Pepito, also known globally as Man-yi, made landfall on Saturday, November 16th, the aftermath can be seen in Caramoran, Catanduanes. Damaged houses, downed electric poles, and uprooted trees dot the landscape. On Monday, November 18th, local families began the difficult task of clearing up the debris and repairing their severely damaged homes. Unfortunately, the super typhoon killed eight people. Pepito's continuous gusts of up to 185 kph not only destroyed wooden structures but also downed electrical lines, throwing the hamlet into turmoil.
