Are you as skilled person and you are struggling to get jobs? Probably it is because you don't have people that recommend you. One thing about recommendation to a skilled person is that it fosters instant trust with the client you are referred to and bypasses protocols for you to get gigs.

I’ve been in a similar situation—you have the skills, you have the drive, but the jobs just aren’t coming. The truth is, without someone to recommend you, you can get lost in a long line of professionals. Recommendations build trust quickly and open doors that wouldn’t normally be accessible.

Many clients are more likely to trust someone who has been recommended by someone they trust. This removes the doubt and increases your chances of getting a job. Therefore, it’s important to build a network of people who know you and appreciate your work.

There are gigs that you would never get except someone puts in a word for you no matter how excellent you are.
I’ve found myself struggling to find a position, with all my potential, but still no doors opened. The truth is, sometimes it’s not just about skills, but who knows you and who refers you to others. A network of people is an incredible treasure.

But that doesn’t mean you should downplay yourself. Your excellence still matters—when the time is right, just one person can mention you and your life can change. So, keep improving, build real relationships, and don’t hesitate to help others too.
