According to a new report. The presidency has ordered the NFF and the Sports Ministry to hands off the appointment of a new head coach for the Super Eagles,

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is yet to make a pronouncement on the appointment of a new head coach for the Super Eagles who are three-time champions of Africa.Since Finidi George's resignation, the NFF’s technical director, Augustine Eguavoen has been tapped in to manage the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda next month till someone else takes over the job permanently.
