The Stablecoin Landscape in 2025

I use stable coin as a trading pair to get better idea on the value of my trading. For instance if I trade BTC/LTC, I will not get exactly how much the amount is. However when I trade BTC/USDT, I know exactly how much my trading volume is.

I'm of two minds when it comes to stablecoins. On the one hand, like other cryptocoins, stablecoins I believe are poised to take off now that the SEC is set to relax its' regulatory structure rather than continue its' "regulation by enforcement" mantra of past years.

On the other hand, a stablecoin pegged to either a currency or a physical asset (ex. gold) is going to now be vulnerable to the same ups/downs of whatever its' pegged to. If its' tying currency/asset rises, the stablecoin will likely rise (and vice versa). In the current economic environment that's a risky gamble.

New regulations are coming for stablecoins, so we can expect more clarity about them in the coming months/years
Legal & regulatory clarity, Riberet, are vital in the growing stablecoin market. It both allows more investors to enter and provide clear rules for how the market should operate.
