The Trump administration has announced plans to end the temporary protection status designation assigned to as many as 256,000 Venezuelans, paving the way for their deportation.

Former US President Joe Biden issued two TPS orders for Venezuelans, the first in 2021 and a second in 2023, providing eligible migrants with work authorization and temporary protection from deportation.

The temporary protection status is generally available to people whose home country has experienced a natural disaster, armed conflict, or other extraordinary event, but Trump has ruled that Venezuela no longer meets those requirements.

This sounds very worrying for Venezuelans who rely on TPS to live and work peacefully in the United States. 😟 Taking away that protection could put them at risk of immediate deportation. It's a reminder of how political decisions directly affect the lives of thousands of people. Let's hope fair alternatives are found before this affects so many families.

The Trump administration has decided to deport 256,000 Venezuelan refugees. These people were living in America on a temporary basis. Now they are being targeted for repatriation to their country, the situation is fragile. These decisions could have serious consequences for many families. But do not fear because God does not abandon his people. Those who are facing this situation, I ask you to be patient. Patience brings prosperity. Justice will be done one day for all those who are being oppressed. May God give them the strength and wisdom to overcome these challenges. Let us pray that God will grant them peace and prosperity in their country.
