The Yobe state government has ordered the closure of all boarding Secondary Schools in the state

In a bid to stem the tide of k!dnappings happening across the country, Nigeria. the Yobe state government has ordered the closure of all boarding Secondary Schools in the state.

Mamman Mohammed, Director-General to Governor Mai Mala Buni on Press and Media Affairs, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday,November 23. He mentioned that the decision was taken at a security meeting between the governor and Security chiefs in the state.

“A notice signed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr.Bukar Aji Bukar, directed immediate closure of all secondary schools pending improvement in the situation.

As it is now, everyone is living in fear, hence closing down these schools is the best option at the moment.
