Theatre teacher fatally shot by roommate after return from visiting husband in Indiana

According to the report, a theater teacher was fatally shot by her roommate after she returned from visiting her family in Indiana.

The report, as cited by Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, 31-year-old Erica Anderson was fatally shot around midnight on Monday after her roommate mistook her for an intruder.

The report also stated that Bryan, who ruled the death accidental, told the outlet that Anderson's roommate was asleep when she heard someone entering the home. The coroner told WTVM that the roommate had been receiving terroristic threats from her son, who had allegedly threatened bodily harm and to burn down her house.

In addition to the report, Anderson had been renting a room at the residence and was returning from a trip to see her husband and their three children in Indiana at the time of the shooting, per the outlet. After entering the home, the coroner told WTVM that the roommate grabbed her pistol and walked out. She fired one shot and then fired another one and hit her roommate,” Bryan told the station.

The case is still ongoing.

The killer should have turned on the lights to see who's inside and not assuming they intruder has an intent to rob them. The victim should also have texted the roommate that she will be home late in the evening.

It is well, the issue here is people having access to guns without any kind of proper training. They just act on emotions.

I cannot blame the killer, considering what he said to the police that he received a death threat message. The victim was also at fault for not shouting her name to void such a mishap.
