According to the report, Paris organizers' worst fears have come true after multiple athletes fell seriously ill after competing in the triathlon. Belgium was forced to pull out of the mixed triathlon relay after one of their athletes was hospitalized with an E. coli infection.

The report said that one Olympic swimmer, Claire Michel, 35, has been sick for the past four days, an illness that has now ruled her out of the race entirely. With this cause, Belgium was unable to replace her in their four-person team, so they have been forced to withdraw.

The report added that it was not only from Belgium being removed but also, Michel, a Swiss triathlete Adrien Briffod who fell seriously ill following the men’s event, according to reports.

The Belgian Olympic and Inter federal Committee released a statement saying: “The BOIC and Belgian Triathlon hope that lessons will be learned for future triathlon competitions.

“We are thinking of training days that can be guaranteed, competition days and formats that are clear in advance, and circumstances that do not lead to uncertainty among athletes, entourage, and fans.” said the committee chair. \

Michel’s E. coli infection comes after pollution in the River Seine led to the men’s individual event being postponed.

What a shame, that France, the host country did not clean the river before the Olympics started. Just imagine the sadness of those who were hospitalized, They were not able to compete because they were hospitalized.

Paris, the host country failed in many things like the food for the Olympians, the village of stay, the condition of the village, the polluted river that wasn't assumed as contaminated and foremost the opening program was under fire because of the mockery of the Last Super painted by Da Vinci made ridiculed.
