Fam. This story of a truck driver is like an action movie but is on the ground firmly. A guy was driving a load from Nairobi to Mombasa, then bandits caught him near Emali town. They forcibly took him out of the truck, tied his hands and feet behind him like he was a load, then threw him into the Tsavo bush. There they just left him to die, imagine!

The driver remained in the bush, barefoot, his clothes full of mud, and his body shaking. Photos were shared on social media showing how badly he was tied up, his eyes full of fear. But luckily for him, locals who were passing by heard him and pulled him out. They helped him stand up, the guy tried to walk but his strength was completely gone.

Now the truck itself? The bandits were smart, they took out a tracking device so that it would not be easy to track. To this day, the truck has not been found. Sikika Road Safety said the driver is home with his family, still recovering from the shock of the incident. They said it was a miracle he wasn't killed by wild animals, because Tsavo is no game – lions, leopards, even snakes.

On socials, Kenyans felt sorry for him. Some said only God saved him. Comments were thanking God and congratulating him for surviving. It's clear that greed for wealth turns people into beasts.

In short, this is a big lesson: our roads are still not safe, and truck drivers are at risk daily. The guy escaped death, but the truck is still missing. It's a story that shows how difficult the ground is and how a community can save lives.

This story of the truck driver really feels like something out of a movie, but it’s a harsh reality on the ground. The way bandits tied him up and abandoned him in Tsavo shows just how dangerous the roads can be for those who transport goods daily. What stands out most to me is the miracle of survival—locals hearing his cries and rescuing him before wild animals could reach him. That moment of community support is powerful, because without it, the outcome could have been tragic. The fact that the truck is still missing also highlights how organized these criminals are, removing tracking devices and disappearing without a trace. For me, the lesson is clear: road safety in Kenya needs urgent attention, and truck drivers deserve better protection. His survival is a blessing, but it’s also a reminder of the risks faced every single day.

This is a regular occurrence in my country. Truck drivers are becoming too reckless with their driving these days.
