According to the report, Donald Trump reportedly broke tradition and invited foreign leaders to his inauguration on January 20. No foreign leader has attended a US presidential inauguration since at least 1874. But this time, Trump has extended an invitation to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The report said that Trump is preparing for a trade war with China after he takes office. But he is still inviting Xi to the US. Is this Trump's attempt to be courteous? Or is he just trying to keep his enemies close?

President Xi Jinping would not want to attend Trump's inauguration as it has little bearing on the increasingly competitive ties between the US and China. Perhaps Modi would be craving such an invitation if Trump extended it to him as Modi would jump at the first opportunity to be seen on the public stage with all the major dignitaries. What a potent combination and possibility. The optics of being in the company of illustrious leaders would gain him some form of recognition and editorial narrative of his credibility, one viewer said.

China is a giant country and Donald Trump sees it as an opportunity to get closer with China. President Trump urged or sought help from Xi Jinping to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Donald Trump is one person that plays politics that doesn't have bitterness. It is commendable that he has extended invitation to china's leader of all countries.
There's also gamesmanship here in that Trump was hoping that Xi, by accepting the inaugural visit invite, would look weaker in the eyes of his fellow Chinese (Chinese culture, if I remember correctly, looks down upon visiting leaders who travel to a rival's inaugural and China considers the U.S. to be its' main peer rival). By contrast, if Xi had refused (which for the record he did) it would remind Americans of why China's a rival to them.

President Xi is one important figure in the world. Trump wants his collaboration to stop the wars, in fact, he requested Xi to talk to Putin to end the war peacefully.
As much as I don't like Donald Trump, my vitriol/despisement of both Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping is worse.

Trump's a lot of things, but he won his office on the up and up; Putin cheats, lies and kills his opponents during every election and Xi is an autocrat who'd like to turn the Western Pacific, from the Korean & S. China Seas all the way out to Guam, as his own little playground. I mean, look at how China tries to bully the Philippines, for instance.

Yes, China is a bully to my country and if our government has a limited patience most probably war already occurs. Chinse are morons which is why they failed to analyze their actions as normal and standard.

It is a sign that giant leaders have come up with a nice idea and plan for the world to continue revolving progressively. They are important people to help shape the world of humanity.
