According to the report, Donald Trump has warned Iran’s leadership of military action if it does not negotiate its nuclear programme, saying, "There are two ways Iran can be handled: militarily or you make a deal." The US is considering inspecting Iranian oil tankers at sea to disrupt its trade, with a US official stating, "You don’t have to sink ships or arrest people to have that chilling effect." Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the Iranian rial has lost half its value and vowed to "make Iran broke again."
US envoy Keith Kellogg warned that Iran, Russia, North Korea and China now form a new global threat, saying, "This is a brand new arrangement … now they’re all together."
