Trump is increasing tariffs for American goods imported to India. He should remember that Indians don't depend on imported goods from America.
Only drunkards are buying scotch and whiskey whose rates have decreased.
Having a business background Trump believes in arm twisting but this work in India as we are self sufficient.

No country is self sufficient. There must be need for inter-relationship both on economic and political level. India depends on United States for semi conductors, industry equipments, arms and weapons, telecommunications fibres and lots much. I think India have to learn and adjust to United States new policies.

Maybe not, but that doesn't mean that it still depends on imports, like absolutely all countries. So, taking this into account, regardless of whether you are for or against Trump, doesn't mean that all countries need imports. Closing a country off from the rest of the world is always idiotic, no matter how you look at it. It clearly affects its economy.

If Trump insist on exorbitant tariff India has to back out. The goods you have referred to has to sold by US. If they don't they can't generate revenue.
