President Donald Trump has stated that the United States will impose 25% tariffs on Indian goods "plus an unspecified penalty" for purchasing Russian arms and energy.

He stated in a post on his Truth Social platform that the actions will go into force on August 1st, which is the US deadline for a trade agreement.

His "tariffs are far too high, among the highest in the world" against India, he said, were a friend. Additionally, "when everyone wants Russia to STOP THE KILLING IN UKRAINE," he criticized India's acquisitions of Russian energy and military hardware.

President Donald Trump knows how to use power and his business sagacity is going to boost United States economy exponentially. But it may backfire because no country have a monopoly in manufacturing and production. Trump may push other countries to seek alternative trading channels.

Prime Minister Modi could negotiate President Trump. Philippines President Marcos went to White House to negotiate Trump about the tariff and thankfully president Marcos was able to persuade President Trump, My country is only charged 19 %tariff.

Our trade and commerce minister has already announced in the parliament that India cannot risk the economy of its country just to please Trump.
